Laura Beach Park in Marshall Islands

Located at the western end of Majuro is Laura Beach Park, a popular picnic site. Here you’ll find a sandy beach, picnic areas, and a fresh water shower. Visitors are recommended to rent a car to visit Laura, (about an hour drive from town). The $1 entry fee is used for clean up and maintenance.

Canoes of the Marshall Islands (WAAN AELON IN MAJOL)

Learn about Marshallese canoe construction and sailing at the Waan Aelon in Majol canoe house, located near the Marshall Islands Resorts. Visit the canoe house during normal working hours (M-F) and you’ll find several canoe builders working on various canoe types.
